cl-ieee-floats software package provides Common Lisp IEEE-754 float en- and decoding, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cl-ieee-floats
cl-ieee-floats is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cl-ieee-floats package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cl-ieee-floats *
